Originally developed by the French designer Canet and manufactured extensively by the Obukhov State Plant as the Pattern 1892 6-inch/45 naval gun, this iconic weapon served as the primary and secondary battery workhorse of the Imperial Russian Navy and Soviet Navy across three major conflicts: the Russo-Japanese War, World War I, and World War II. Mounted aboard famous pre-dreadnought battleships, armored cruisers, protected cruisers (most notably the legendary cruiser Aurora), gunboats, river monitors, and coastal defense fortifications, this rapid-firing medium artillery piece delivered relentless high-explosive and armor-piercing bombardment. Scaled to the generous 1/72 builder scale, this dedicated standalone naval artillery replica faithfully captures the stepped gun barrel, breech block, recoil cylinders, elevation handwheels, traverse pedestal, and protective curved shield of original naval technical layouts with flawless fidelity.

Engineering Precision and Russian Imperial Artillery Fidelity

At 1/72 scale, naval gun mounts step completely into the foreground as dominant visual centerpieces, exposing barrel taper, breech mechanism levers, sighting optics, training gearing, and pedestal rivet patterns to direct visual inspection. This replica 152mm/45 naval gun captures the purposeful, heavy industrial geometry of late 19th- and early 20th-century artillery engineering with surgical clarity, eliminating the thick, soft-molded contours, solid-cast handwheels, shallow breech relief, and warped barrels typical of mass-production plastic kits or heavy white-metal castings. Deployed onto an open weather deck, inside a casemate embrasure, or showcased in a museum diorama vignette, the assembly features true-to-scale physical relief, creating realistic physical shadow
